[WXBH-Discuss] A little note on our evolving programming

At our meeting Wednesday, we got into a CD ripping session and wound up
with a vastly expanded music library. (And we still have a couple
hundred CDs left to rip!)

For the time being, we are playing a random rotation of this music
through most of the night and much of the day. We still have our
Pacifica schedule in place along with the several regular local shows
that are now being produced.

We have several new shows that should be going up in the next few days.
The plan is to slot them into regular times and wrap this random music
playlist around them.

In the meantime, we'd be interested in your feedback on this particular
music mix. It's bound to evolve over time and your feedback will help it
do so. I would think we'll wind up with several different such mixes for
different times of day, etc. We are definitely planning on making local
music a big part of our programming, so don't fret that it isn't there
yet. (And do send us your CDs of local music.)

If you hear something that sounds interesting and want to know what it
is, just go to the web site. I've done a quick and dirty programming
patch to display the artist and song currently playing. (At the present
time, it does not update; you'll need to manually refresh the page to
update it.)

Incidentally, we have registered an additional domain name for our web
site: http://LouisvilleCommunityRadio.org. The thought was that as we
get started with our outreach it might be easier to get people to
remember that URL rather than the WXBH call letters. (Seems a lot of
people were getting the letters turned around, etc.) Of course, we'll
keep the wxbh.org domain. Both domain names lead to the same web site.
