I'm pleased to report that the FCC today approved the time-share
agreement between the Brick House's WXBH-LP FM and Fern Creek's WFHS-LP FM!

Here's a local copy of WXBH's new construction permit (which includes
the operating schedule):

This means that most of Southeast Louisville can now be assured of an
ongoing community radio service (under two different sets of call
letters). Without this agreement the two parties would have alternated
with four-year licenses, with no assurance of renewals after the first
set of licenses had run their course.
We at Brick House owe a great deal of thanks to the folks at Fern Creek
High School Alumni Association (Ted Boehm, Sam Cilone, Pete Boyce, et.
al.) for their cooperation, patience, and good faith in working to
accomplish this.
Thanks also to Ed Henson (of Henson Media here in Louisville) and to
Pete Tridish and Andy Gunn (of Prometheus Radio in Philadelphia) for
their advice and counsel.
We now must go to work on the physical facilities we will need to go on
the air. We'll need to
--arrange for a data line to connect with Fern Creek,
--build a computer to place in the high school that feeds the signal to
the transmitter, and
--build one or more studios and uplink facilities to feed our home-grown
programming (production already under way) to our new community radio
station!
Hold on tight folks, the fun is just beginning!
