[WXBH-Discuss] Our Audio Quality

When I get a chance I'll work on making a flyer, pleaing for show 
submissions. I don't think people realize 1. that we're actually on the air 
and 2. that their participation is badly needed.

We just don't have the resources to walk even ten people through 
pre-producing a show every week. And it seems unlikely that there will be a 
stronger commitment to produce independently than we have had so far (it has 
been disappointing).

So I think the #1 and #2 priorities should be 1. get the station sounding 
right (with whoever and whatever will lend to doing this) and 2. get a 
recording studio for live broadcast assembled. I
have committed to #2 but have been completely submerged in other projects 
(which i apologize for my disappearance) and will be still until this coming 
Sunday night the 8th. After that I will dedicate my time to getting this 
studio on the road. Paul if you can work with me and John too, I will be 
sure that we can push through to acquire the proper equipment.

This means spending the money and not being afraid to invest it in what is 
arguably our most important and valuable asset, a broadcast/ recording 
studio.

So, I'll be back on it on Sunday night.

Oh and Jennifer O. and I are working on some station IDs and promos on 
Monday, so that is exciting, no? I'm sure we can try to work out a serious 
call for programming contributions too.

Paul raises some good concerns, and Mark countermands some of them; the
bottom line is the station is not static, it is dynamic and will get better,
as it is not the finished product. There are still a lot of groups and
people to reach and convince to make radio shows or be part of them. Radio,
in spite of all of its organization, still needs to construct and put a lot
of people in an organizational structure with particular responsibilities.
Radio has a long road and a lot to problem solve.
