Thanks Aron... thanks john.... maybe prometheus will begin to benefit from what we have to offer in our struggle as well...
Yes... i was certain that they were concurrent because of the wording in the document sent by FCC acknowleding our permit but it wasnt worth the back and forth discussion given i didnt have papers in hand... some of the pages i read at the FCC site went into more detail about the fact that LPFM stations might be granted concurrent permits but there is very little stipulation about the overlapping grounds and its likely that we have good grounds to request a review of antenna location... i still believe that we must be up and running/active status to be considered with any seriousness as to processing our request
alot of the wording at the FCC site indicates that lisence renewal will be an option and the wording 'non-renewable' is simply a legal back-up plan to stop any station which is clearly designed to create havoc or waste 'broadcast power'... wait and see i guess
i believe that a good representative in our corner (yarmuth?) versed in such statutes will be key in the process of deciding exactly how to word and approach this challenge with the certitude necessary to hit the mark and make sure that we not only get our new coordinates approved but further extends our lisence another 4 years because of the oversight... asking too much... i dont think so really as long as the dialogue is backed up with action and real physical accommodation of facility and function in community support through involvement as a vital force of engagement
our business plan and strategy or event flow chart can get us back on track no matter what their response turns out to be if indeed there is real financial and physical muscle to flex decent radio for the communities already wanting to get beyond whatever that is that wfpk is doin...
side note... i briefly engaged john timmons last night at the trolley hop and gave him a flier for the small but weird art exhibition which brick house has taken a role in sponsoring... he was intrigued and i told him that we would be in touch with him soon about radio... maybe we could list-discuss what it is that he could really specialize in for the station to get the footing it needs??
i will attach a draft of the small but weird press release for the curious... there is a call for audio submissions which will be added to the wxbh archive ... the opening reception is june 29
ok enough yak yak yak....

license in four years to Fern Creek. That appears to be incorrect.
There does appear to be some downside in that both licenses are termed "non-renewable", but since both permits refer to sharing subsequent licensing terms with the other party, it appears there is a way to renew or at least reapply.
I've posted the construction permits on our site. Links are on the
