Hey Brian... will you be at the streeball showdow at any time this weekend? we really need help covering the 12:30 to 3pm slot so that i can keep my open studio time at the center available because of my upcoming exhibition at Huff Gallery
Meeting tuesday about training protocols and considering structures of accountability and volunteer management (known as governance possibly) seems fair... would you want to show up early at 6pm to organize materials given the fact that alot of the documentation already exists in the rough and would need to be tailored to our site?
Seems you have some solid handles on the day to day studio facility and i have some ideas about weekly and quarterly rotation concepts which could be worked out with a few solid lines of definition and standardized terminology at this point for the most part
not trying to reinvent a wheel at this point but i am trying to get the appropriate pounds per square inch to move this organized vision forward into larger community views of involvement and skills expansion... more later when you have time... k

OK,
Yeah, I'd like to see that stuff...I've already got a semi-kinda outline for
both how the FCC rules would most likely run, and how we would apply them to
DJs, and an outline of possible station rules/regulations/codes. This is
all based on the training manual we used at WRFL-FM. I agree with Aron in
that we arent re-inventing the wheel, and based on the manual from WORT that
he brought to Tuesday's meeting, as well as as manuals I've seen from other
stations (but dont have particular access to right now) it seems a lot of
community based stations outfit themselves the same way. All we need to do
is reread the updated LPFM rules and apply them where needed.
I won't be available to meet, really, until next Tuesday at the regular
meeting, so I'll bring the manuals and my ideas to that, and we can discuss
and compare notes.
