i dont think people got my points either.. im not
against the repeating of shows, as it would be
necessary at first at least.. i was saying that i
think that being a long term plan would be a horrible
idea. it should be something done out of neccesity at
best in my opinion.
i also did not mean to seem like i liked the idea of
the station being dominated by any type of music or
other programming.. im just saying that the station
should be open enough that those involved decide the
programming, and not so closed off that the
programming decides who those involved are. if i
wanted to play nothing but late 90s vegan straightedge
metal influenced hardcore from southern europe(not the
case) imbetween a folk show and a hip hop show then so
be it...
as for the anti country sentiment... modern commercial
country is a bunch of crap, but i would see nothing
wrong with playing johnny cash, patsy cline, hank
williams, charlie pride, david allen coe, merle
haggard etc.. in fact id be rather interested in doing
so from time to time.
i also didnt mean to seem like i was against the
garage/folk/prog rock stuff. i would just be nauseated
if all i could find on such a rad resource was frank
zappa and alice coopers first record, sandwiched
between slices of doc watson and early kinks demos,
topped with a garnish of RUSH.
once again sorry if i seemed abrasive.. i do that from
time to time.
