Hi everyone,
To re-cap Tuesday's programming discussion, here is what we need:
1. Any ideas about format, what types of shows we want, etc.
2. A list of people who are ready to go (ready to make a show, ready to record) and what kinds of technical issues they have. Something like "Abby Smith wants to do a talk show about farming. She has a boombox to record" or "Dennis Jenkins wants to do a talk show about farming. He has no resources."
2a. We need to know if these shows are one-time runs or if they're looking for a regular gig. Regular can mean once a week, once a month, etc. We also need to know the time, 30 minutes? An hour?
3. List of people from whom we specifically want to solicit material. Who should we be asking for material?
4. List of any non-local programming we have available, such as other people's streams, syndicated materials, shows, etc.
The point is to see how much time we can fill right away, and also to see what kind of balance we have in terms of content. We need something solid from which to move forward as we shape the programming.
I'll compile everything we get and present it at Tuesday's radio meeting, so all who are interested should chip in with these four issues.
Jennifer
