im wondering who he talked to just for the sake of understanding if he has a telephone number or email address or is connected as a casual social aquaintance... our communications systems do leave something to be desired but im interested in overcoming this seemingly ongoing reference to brickhouse drop outs and faults
if theres someway we can fix our communications systems then that is great... if there is someone out there representing the brickhouse and then not passing contacts along then lets kindly work out those connection drop points as well
Anyone game to see if they can get him to outline what sorts of responsibilities or roles he would like us to play in this series of celebrations and conferences which will come up after our major work load of getting online and on air has come to pass?
Im thinking developing a few proposals for them regarding our own initiatives at these events might allow us to establish their role in our process of getting the site up and running in the present tense such as a precursor to training other organizations how to partner with us in skills expansion/renovation process learning programming....
anybody see that connection ?? private mail me for more discussion if you like

Following is a message I received from Mark Steiner of Cultivating
Connections. This may be a good partnership for WXBH. They are very
productive, have a great following/ base, are progressive and their lectures
will be great local, progressive productions if recorded. Notice his comment
about not being repplid to by the Brick House. Gotta change that image.

Greetings Aron,
We met briefly following the event with David Korten that we (Cultivating
Connections) hosted at Unity.
Our work is primarily in the realms of the environment and spirituality but
reaches into all areas related to peaceful and just relationships between
humans, other creatures and the planet.
In September we are coordinating two local events with environmental
activist and author Julia Butterfly Hill. In addition to a lecture on
Tuesday September 19, we will be presenting a workshop focusing on activism
(and rooted in the Circle of Life's Activism is Patriotism campaign) on
Sunday September 17th.
We are also hosting a Sacred Celebration on the topic of Deep Justice on
September 16th. Sacred Clebrations are a unique combination of party and
spiritual celebration inspired by Matthew Fox's Cosmic Masses out in
Oakland.
In addition we are planning another EarthSpirit Rising Conference for June 8
-10 2007 in Louisville. Speakers include Jerry Mander (author of Four
Arguments Against Television), Kirkpatrick Sale, Jean Hoston, Paul Loeb
(author of Soul of a Citizen) and Starhawk (author and activist known for
her anti-globalization, WTO work).
We are particularly looking at ways to engage younger people in our work and
are continuing to seek out opportunities to cultivate connections between
like-minded individuals and organizations in an effort to support and grow
their work.
We have attempted to reach out to the Brick House but have found those we
talked to unresponsive.
I would like to explore ways in which Cultivating Connections can work with
and support local efforts to grow our community and would like to explore
possible collaboration including support for WXBH.
