[WXBH-Discuss] Radio Minutes for 08/01/2006

Anyone feel like we should have a monthy meeting available for people who just want to show up and learn more about radio such as how to volunteer or maybe even set up regular basic trainings?.... seems like our meetings might be intimidating for people who like to start out slow or would enjoy being support in a minimally complex manner
   
   
  Maybe we could make those meetings the last Tuesday of each month and send people off with tasks from anything like fundraisers in their specific community to something more specific like helping around the building... it doesnt seem like we plan for regular growth of new members in our current set up because our handbills need a bit more attention towards just getting people over to the building as opposed to introducing the technology base etc.... input anyone??
   
  just for the record i am going to ask if i should expect to attend thursdays board meeting but not on tuesday because there will be no committees or anything... i would be glad to meet as programming if anyone wants to build on our current ideas
   
  just a thought that specific committees could still utilize that time frame and people could still drop in and get involved this way.... hmmm... options...
