I thought some of your group's members might be interested in attending. Rep. Yarmuth will speak on the Federal Shield Law--a subject of interest to community journalists and bloggers. John Yarmuth: Join Rep. John Yarmuth, a former journalist and longtime SPJ member, as he speaks about his first year representing the third district in the House of Representatives and the Federal Shield Law. He will also answer questions from the audience. Courier-Journal reporter Joe Gerth will moderate the conversation. The event will take take place on Monday, December 10, 7-8:30 pm at the Lectorium of the Egan Leadership Center at Spalding University. The Egan Leadership Center is located on the corner of 4th and Breckinridge Streets. The adjacent parking lot is accessible from Fourth St., south of Breckinridge. Street parking is also available.
